"the love is there" Right now I'm in my kitchen inking the piece that was voted on in this journal, and baking cookies. The cookies will be taken to various friends' houses tomorrow as I go about distributing presents that I forgot to give people before. There is something special in my family's house the night before Christmas. Everybody fights a little less. Everybody gives hugs a bit less reticently. We have dinner (in front of the TV - this year we were watching the House Christmas special), then play games or music, and then everyone scampers off to their respective rooms to wrap last-minute gifts. Tomorrow morning I start out on my first-ever solo road trip: nine to twelve hours on big highways from my house to discosmackdown (https://www.deviantart.com/discosmackdown)'s. I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little scared.
